<p>Despite difficulties brought about by the nation’s religiously conservative elements, a private community event was organized by the Brunei Project organization. The event was attended by community organisers and members of the LGBT community and was supported by the ASEAN network, B Change Foundation and the Island of Southeast Asia Network on Male and Transgender Sexual Health (ISEAN).</p>

<p>This brings the total number of countries where IDAHOT was celebrated to an amazing 132, which includes almost 40 countries where sexual and gender diversity is criminalized!</p>
<p>In Brunei, an extremely conservative Asian Muslim context, the <a href="http://www.thebruneiproject.com/uploads/5/2/0/8/52087579/media_release.pdf">Brunei Project</a> organised a private community event, supported by regional-based ASEAN SOGIE Caucus, B- Change Foundation and the Islands of Southeast Asia Network on Male and Transgender Sexual Health (ISEAN).</p>
<p>In Vanuatu, VPride Foundation organised its first IDAHOT rally</p>
<p>IN Bhutan, the UN offices launched a collective video to promote the UN&#8217;s Free and Equal campaign which defends the rights of LGBTI people</p>
