IDAHOTB DAHOT International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia

Activists organized a series of activities in a week-long IDAHO commemoration called “The Week of Fighting against Homophobia in Paraguay 2012″. Events kicked off with a public kiss-in held in front the National Congress.

Nigerian activists used IDAHO 2012 as an opportunity to call on the National Human Rights Commission to promote and protect the human rights of all Nigerian citizens

Activists in Nicaragua organized an extensive program to commemorate IDAHO 2012 and discussed measures to address harassment based on sexual orientation and gender identity and homo/lesbo/transphobic violence

The focus was on education in New Zealand for IDAHO 2012 with the launch of a nationwide anti-bullying program.

Dutch Embassies around the world have been particularly active in supporting IDAHO events, giving thereby a strong concrete expression to the official recognition of the Day by the Dutch Parliament back in 2005.
