In addition to School Rainbow event, UNESCO Asia Pacific with its headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand, is commemorating the Day by further activities

The organisations Friends for Life, CAISO and CariFLAGS are joining forces to organise events around May 17 in Port of Spain and Belmont, Trinidad & Tobago.

In cooperation with the School of Social Work and the Student Union at Tel Aviv University, Israel IDAHOT is organising a chain of events with academia and students. On May 22, there will be a rally by the youth movement to commemorate IDAHOT.

This year, the Sexual Rights Alliance is preparing events to celebrate the progress the LGBT movement has achieve so far as well as to get together to reinforce spirit.
