IDAHOT Events 2015: Sri Lanka

In Nicosia, Cyprus, activists took the celebrations of IDAHOT to the streets with a #NAMELESS event. The event started with a street meeting to celebrated all kinds of identities together. The meeting point was Kugulu Park on May 16th at 4pm where there was a Walk against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, a rainbow parade followed by a street gathering with street games. In Prague, the Czech AIDS Help Society organised a ‘Run against homophobia and AIDS Candlelight Day support’ on May 16 in commemoration of IDAHOT on Vitkov hill. For IDAHOT 2015 Lambda Mozambique, the Association for sexual Minorities, has prepared a Facebook contest in which they call upon individuals to show their support for the LGBT community. The Facebook contest asked people to send a supportive message with #‎diferentesmasiguais‬ about respect, diversity, equality, inclusion and/or pride.
