IDAHOT events 2015: Cameroon

Affirmative Action/Alternative Cameroon organised a series of IDAHOT events in Yaoundé, including a film screening followed by a round table discussion on LGBTI youth, a football match between an LGBTI team and a straight team and a Gala and Pride evening and party where 250 people, straight and gay, celebrated diversity. LGBT organisations from Douala and Garoua, two main cities of Cameroon, participated in the festivities.

A bubble of freedom in a country where harsh legal sanctions and heavy social stigma are the daily lot of LGBT people.
