On Tuesday, April 2, 2013, the Uruguayan Senate has voted to approve the country’s Marriage Equality Bill, by a majority of 23 to 8.

Activists in Montevideo mobilized the local LGBT community to demonstrate love and affection in public spaces under the slogan “Discrimination does not discriminate”.
