The Georgian Orthodox Church has today, (Thursday, May 16) made an announcement calling for a ban on tomorrow’s International Day Against Homophobia & Transphobia march in Tbilisi, Georgia.

A member of the Council of Europe and signatory to UN conventions, Georgia has ratified and signed documents and treaties prohibiting discrimination on the grounds of sex and sexual orientation.
